Resonator

The short version

Resonator does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. There are no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no accounts of our own.

Your listening history, liked songs, discovery journeys, and settings are stored only on your iPhone.

Apple Music — Resonator uses your Apple Music subscription through Apple's MusicKit. Your Apple Music activity is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Resonator requests access only to browse and play your music.
Google Cast — when you cast, playback commands and track metadata travel over your local network to your Cast device, governed by Google's privacy policy.
MusicBrainz / Cover Art Archive — album credits and artwork are fetched anonymously from these open databases. Only album metadata (titles, barcodes) is sent — never anything about you.
Wikidata / Wikimedia Commons / Wikipedia — portraits of the people credited on a record, their photo credits and licences, and article excerpts are fetched anonymously from these open projects. Wikipedia text shown in the app is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0 and always attributed to its article and contributors. Only MusicBrainz artist identifiers are sent — never anything about you.
Token service — a small server signs the Apple Music developer token the app needs to start. It receives no personal data and keeps no logs of you. If you use the optional web sign-in page, your Apple Music user token is stored server-side solely so your Cast device can play full tracks, and can be cleared at any time.
